We understand that exceptional situations may force you to cancel your booking, such as a medical emergency, natural disaster or any other force majeure event. By default, the host's cancellation policy applies.
However, some accommodation providers may, depending on the circumstances, offer a commercial gesture or allow you to postpone your stay. It is therefore essential to contact them directly to find the best solution. Please note that refunds will not be given, except in the event of a natural disaster.
To cancel your reservation free of charge in the event of an exceptional situation, you must:
1) Log in to your Rentalake account
2) In the top right tab, click on the "Booking" button as shown below
3) You will then be able to click on the "Cancel" button, as shown below. Please read the cancellation policy next to the "Cancel" button carefully before canceling. If you are within the time frame to cancel free of charge, click "Cancel" as shown below.
4) All you have to do is "confirm" your cancellation by adding a message so that the host is notified as shown below.
